The Knox Community School Board approved two agenda items that involve the Qualified School Construction Bond project at the high school. The project includes rehabilitating the roof, lighting, ceiling and HVAC unit in the pool area and water piping throughout the building.

“The Board granted permission to advertise for bids to construction companies to work on that project,” said Superintendent, A.J. Gappa. “In addition to that, they also approved a financial advisory services contract with H.J. Umbaugh and Associates, who have worked on the finance arrangements for that project. With the approval of advertising of bids, there will be a walk-through of the building for any interested contractors on Tuesday, December 21st. Bids will be opened and looked at on January 12th. That’s the date the bids are due. That gives the Board the opportunity to take action at the January 17th meeting.”
