North Judson Town Board Approves Second Reading of Synthetic Marijuana Ordinance

The North Town Board approved the second reading of an ordinance that prohibits the sale of synthetic marijuana during its meeting Monday night. A Public Hearing concerning this ordinance will be held on Monday, January 3rd, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. CT at the North Judson Civic Center. A third and final reading will be approved during the Board’s regular meeting that evening at 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Board will be appointing members to several different boards and committees January 3rd. The Board has received resumes and volunteers for a few of the positions, but several positions are still open. The Board is looking to fill the following appointments: Town Attorney, Building Inspector, Kankakee Iroquois Regional Planning Commission (KIRPC) representative, Starke County Solid Waste Board member, Railroad Advisory Board member, Planning Commission (four members), Board of Zoning Appeals (five members) and Unsafe Hearing Authority (five members).
