Tonight’s Megaball Jackpot is $201 Million

Tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $201 million. No player nationwide matched all six numbers to win the March 15th jackpot. One ticket sold in Lake County, Indiana missed the jackpot by one number, matching the first five numbers, but not the Megaball. That ticket is worth $250,000 and was purchased at Luke’s in Schererville.

The jackpot has been steadily gaining steam since February 1st when a Northwestern Indiana family and a group of Michigan co-workers split a $93 million jackpot.

As with all Hoosier Lottery games, the net income generated from Indiana sales of Mega Millions is turned over to the State. Last year, Hoosier Lottery transferred $190 million to the State where it was allocated to teachers, police and firefighters retirement funds as well as the Build Indiana fund which ultimately reduces Hoosiers’ license plate costs.
