North Judson-San Pierre School Board Adjusts Salaries; Cafeteria Prices

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board members approved an amendment to the salary schedule for bus drivers, non-certified staff and administrators at their meeting Tuesday night.

Superintendent, Lynn Johnson, explained that the salaries have been frozen for the past two years and the Board adjusted the salaries to make up for those two years.

The Board also approved an increase in cafeteria prices for the 2011-2012 school year. Breakfast for all students will now be $1.40. Lunch for the Elementary students will be $1.90 and Middle and High School students will be $2.10. Superintendent Johnson noted that the school is making an effort to offer healthier choices for the students, which does elevate the cost. More fruits and vegetables will be an option to students this next school year.
