Special Exhibits will be Featured Sunday at Starke County Museum

1937 Cox Brothers truck

One of the exhibitors at Sunday’s Starke County Historical Society’s Ice Cream Social will be Wayne and Marilyn Alberding, showing their 1937 Chevrolet truck. It was originally owned by Cox Brothers as a gas delivery truck and has been converted to a flat bed truck.

The annual event is scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd from 1:00-3:00 p.m. CT on the law of the Museum at 401 South Main Street, the home of former Indiana Governor Henry F. Schricker.

Other exhibitors will bring antique cars and tractors, Indian arrowheads and other collections.

The annual July Open House and Ice Cream Social has been traditionally a social event for the community. It’s time to spotlight exhibits inside and outside the museum and share fellowship on a Sunday summer afternoon. Last year, more than 250 people attended.

The public is invited to see exhibits never displayed before, inside the museum and on the lawn, hear old time music played on a dulcimer, and enjoy ice cream at the Starke County Historical Society on Sunday from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
