Terre Haute Man Arrested for Burglary, Theft in Knox

A Terre Haute man was arrested yesterday morning after police received a call of a possible burglary in the 400 block of 700 East in Knox. Officers from the Sheriff’s Department checked out the area and found four individuals in a gazebo just south of where the burglary had taken place.

The four subjects were detained and, while speaking to them, an officer located items behind the gazebo that were possibly stolen during the burglary. Officers called for detectives as well as the property owner. During the investigation, one individual, Dylan Wolley, 18, took an officer aside and confessed to not only the burglary on 700 East, but also a burglary that occurred on 650 East. Wolley was arrested for Burglary, a Class C felony, and Theft, a Class D Felony. Formal charges are pending.

Property owners were notified of the incident and the stolen items were returned to their rightful owners. The incident is still under investigation.
