9-11 services are planned throughout the listening area this Sunday.

At Knox, WKVI is sponsoring a Commemoration Ceremony at the Knox High School Football Field from 4:00-5:00 p.m. CT. Among those participating are WKVI personalities Tom Berg, Harold Welter, Ed Hasnerl, and Ted Hayes. Starke County EMS Director, Paul Mathewson, will also speak and vocalist Mae Crider will present special music.

The American Legion Post #92 in North Judson will present a program at Norwayne Field at 12:00 noon. The Remembrance Ceremony will be at the War Memorial.

Among the several churches and organizations in the Kankakee Valley planning special services to observe the 10th anniversary of the September 11th disasters is the Eagle Creek Community Church.

Pastor Ed Hasnerl says the monthly Hymn Sing, scheduled for Sunday evening, will feature a memorial tribute to the emergency responders who lost their lives 10 years ago and a salute to the local Washington Township Fire Department, whose volunteers regularly put their lives on the line in the community.

The Hymn Sing begins at 6:00 p.m. The Eagle Creek Community Church is located at the intersection of county road 700 East and 25 North, about three miles east of Knox.
