The Kankakee Valley REMC presented an Operation Roundup grant check to Bella Vita Pregnancy Resource Center in Knox yesterday for $3,500.00. Amanda Steeb of Kankakee Valley REMC was on hand to give the check to Susanne Lange, the center’s Executive Director.

“We’re really excited about what they’re going to be able to use the money for and that is baby items to assist individuals as they visit this organization,” said Amanda Steeb.

“Our Operation Roundup Board of Directors meets quarterly and we review the grant applications and look at what each organization is doing and where the money will be best used. This is one of those organizations.”

Susanne Lange talked more about how the money will be used.

“This money is going to be used to stock our baby bucks store. There’s various items that we specifically asked for such as cribs, car seats, maternity belts, and clothes for mothers and children. We have a lot of clients that have been saving up their baby bucks specifically for these larger items. Thank you to Kankakee Valley REMC for partnering with us to help us reach out to the people in our community.”
