Knox Man Arrested Following Alleged Battery Incident

A Knox man was arrested Friday after an alleged battery incident.

When police arrived on scene, a woman came running out of the house stating that Wesley Swindle had a gun and her child was inside the house. When additional officers arrived on scene, the woman went inside to get her son and police asked Swindle to come out of the residence. The boy came out of the residence and Swindle followed. He was taken into custody.

Police talked to all witnesses who stated that Swindle had arrived at the residence on 50 East and he was upset because he couldn’t turn his semi around on the property due to the amount of vehicles in the yard. Swindle was reportedly standing on the home’s deck when he struck the victim in the stomach with his shoulder. The pair were wrestling when a dog bit him on the hand. Swindle then allegedly hit the victim in the face with a beer bottle before grabbing a stick and striking him in the left temple. He reportedly threatened to retrieve a gun shortly befroe police arrived at the residence.

Wesley Swindle was arrested and faces preliminary charges of Battery and Intimidation. His bond has been set at $800 cash and he is to have no contact with the victim.
