Yellowstone Trail Fest Quickly Approaching

In celebration of 100 years of a great road that ran from Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound, the Yellowstone Trail Fest is on its way to Starke County.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Aug. 17–19, the fest will take place at the Starke County Fairgrounds in Hamlet, featuring a classic car cruise-in, a fun cruise down the Yellowstone Trail, a parade, flea market, and other events.

The Hamlet Rendezvous, an 1840s event, will take place over the weekend as well. The classic car cruise-in will take place both Saturday and Sunday, and the trail cruise will take place on Saturday, followed by the parade on Sunday. An award will be given for the best car in the parade.

Music, food, a pancake breakfast and much more will keep visitors entertained, and as if that weren’t enough, the Great American Family Circus will take place all three days as well. The circus will start on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Starke County Fairgrounds on the corner of Indiana and Division streets. For tickets or more information, call (877) 461-1564, or visit www.greatamericanfamilycircus.com.

The Yellowstone Trail Fest is sponsored by the town of Hamlet, Kerstings, and Guntown.
