Former South Central Student Attends Kansas City Agri-Conference

A former South Central student recently attended an Agriculture Future of America Leaders Conference in Kansas City, Missouri where he was able to meet CHS, Inc. executives and gather information on the future of agriculture. CHS, Inc. is a leading global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the country. They are committed to grow their businesses through its domestic and global operations by supplying energy, crop nutrients, grain marketing services, livestock feed, food and food ingredients, among other items.

Nolan Sampson attended the four-day Leaders Conference earlier this month and he was among 500 students who engaged with agriculture and food industry professionals and developed skills they need to put their scholastic and leadership training into action. Sampson was chosen through a competitive application process. His participation in this event was funded through a variety of sponsorships from the South Central school, community or industry businesses, such as CHS.

Sampson, who attends Purdue University, told CHS officials of his story of growing up in an agriculture community and his own lawn mowing business and plans for expansion.
