Stop! Pulaski County Intersection Becomes Four-Way

Beginning today, the intersection of state roads 39 and 14 in Pulaski County will be a four-way stop.

Previously, east and westbound traffic on State Road 14 had the right-of-way while north and southbound traffic on State Road 39 was required to stop at stop signs.

The new four-way stop will take effect after signs are added at that intersection today. In addition to stop signs with reflective tape for traffic on State Road 14, “Stop Ahead” warning signs with flashing beacons and painted “Stop” bars will be installed.

This change at State Road 39 and State Road 14 was deemed necessary after INDOT traffic engineers studied the intersection and determined additional safety measures were needed.
