Huffington Concert Series Continues at Culver Academies

The Huffington Concert Series at Culver Academies continues this week as the school will hold the Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s production of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic, “A Christmas Carol.” The production will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, featuring a cast of 24 musicians at the Eppley Auditorium on the campus.

Founded in 1975, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan began as a joint project between the Omaha Playhouse and the Nebraska Arts Council, but four years later, the Caravan began touring the Midwest performing the Charles Jones adaptation of “A Christmas Carol.” In 1982, another company joined to tour the East Coast, and the West Coast was next in 1987. The national tour of the play has performed in over 600 cities in 49 states and four Canadian provinces.

Tickets can be purchased at the Steinbrenner Performing Arts Center box office from 1 to 4 p.m., or at the Eppley Auditorium box office up to one hour before the show. Tickets are $20 for orchestra or mezzanine seats or $15 for balcony seats. Seniors and students receive a $5 discount.
