Rochester Man Arrested On Possession, Dealing Charges

A Rochester man was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop in Marshall County.

A deputy with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department observed a moving violation on a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Cody Noftsger. A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Oakhill and Michigan roads.

An investigation determined that Noftsger was operating a vehicle without a license and he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of his vehicle led police to find synthetic marijuana, prescription pills, 41 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Drugs were also found on the driver.

Cody Noftsger was arrested and has preliminary charges of Dealing Marijuana, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance, Operating a Vehicle without ever Receiving a License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana. His bond was set at $1,500.
