Two Arrested on Auto Theft, Burglary Charges

Two Plymouth residents were arrested Monday on several charges after an alleged auto theft and burglary incident.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called out on a report of two suspicious suspects near a residence on 5D Road and Michigan Road. Police didn’t find anyone there, but during their search, they learned that several vehicles had been broken into and items stolen.

Approximately an hour later, Marshall County police were notified of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Michigan Road north of 5D Road. A search of the area was conducted and police found Gary Felix, 24, and Jordan McCoige, 27, walking on Oak Road near Walmart. They had been listed as suspects in several theft cases.

Police later found the vehicle that was reported stolen behind Kmart, a short distance from where the pair were first spotted. Felix and McCoige were detained and a search recovered several stolen electronic items and a cell phone. The items were reportedly stolen from a burglary incident that was reported earlier.

Felix and McCoige were arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of Burglary, Theft, Auto Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. Formal charges are pending at this time and the incidents remain under investigation.
