Winamac Woman Arrested on a Possession Charge

A Winamac woman was arrested Tuesday after police found her in possession of controlled substances.

A Pulaski County deputy was following a car driven by Teresa McDaniel that was reportedly crossing the center line. She then turned into a driveway until the officer passed and then turned around. The officer did the same thing and followed her again. She was then pulled over for speeding in a 30 mph zone.

The officer ran her information and determined that she was wanted on a warrant. In a search of her vehicle, two different kinds of prescription pills were found in a pill bottle. When questioned about the medication, she told police that her son-in-law spills some pills on the floor and she picked up some of the pills and combined them with her medication.

The officer placed her under arrest on the active arrest warrant and a preliminary charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
