WKVI’s general manager passed away unexpectedly Tuesday.
Pat Dunn died at his home and the Starke County Coroner has ruled his death as natural causes.
Pat had been a part of the WKVI family for over 25 years having been on the Kankakee Valley Broadcasting Board of Directors since the mid-1980s. He became a full-time mainstay in the company in May of 2009 and had held the position of general manager since last year. He had been instrumental in many positive changes at the station and his vision moves forward.
Pat was also the former owner of Knox Insurance Agency.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at MC Smith Funeral Home, with funeral services to take place Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Knox. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Starke County Youth Club or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
