Pulaski County Lincoln Day Dinner Upcoming

The Pulaski County Republican Central Committee will be sponsoring the annual Lincoln Day Dinner in two short weeks, an event which has been taking place every year for well over the last decade. County Republican Party Chairman Blair Todd told WKVI that the dinner will take place on Wednesday, March 20, at the West Central High School Cafeteria at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. ET.

This year, the dinner features speaker Sue Ellspermann, Indiana’s lieutenant governor, and comes at a cost of $25. Todd explained that after the doors open, attendees will have about a half-hour to speak with one another or the lieutenant governor and other elected county officials who will be present. The caterer for the event is Burkett’s from North Judson, and the evening will conclude with an auction of donated items with the proceeds going to the Pulaski County Republican Party to be used to support county Republican candidates.

Todd explained the event usually has a decent turnout, with around 80 people typically attending the event. He said the party would prefer people to RSVP ahead of time so they can allow the caterer to know how many people will be attending, but attendees can come spur of the moment and pay $25 at the door.

Several Republican county officials are expected to attend, including Christi Hoffa, County Assessor Holly VanDerAa, County Clerk Tasha Foerg, and at least one county commissioner. Sheriff Michael Gayer is also expected to attend, along with a representative for U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski and possibly Senator Dan Coats.
