Monday was business as usual at the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation.

Last week regular business was interrupted after a bomb threat was found in the high school Thursday. The North Judson Police Department, the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, school administrators and bomb sniffing dogs scoured the school but no device was found.

Superintendent Lynn Johnson said the staff met to review security procedures Friday and all backpacks and students were checked when they came to school after a two-hour delay on Friday morning.

Johnson said the school is no longer on lock-down but security measures remain in place. Those who wish to enter any building on the school property will need to activate the call system installed at each doorway and state your purpose for visiting the school before you are allowed inside.

Johnson stated that this incident remains under investigation. North Judson police indicated that the person or persons involved will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Police thank all of the response teams and the students and school officials for their cooperation in this matter.
