Maxinkuckee Players member Becky Liechty explained that Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is based on the biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Joseph is the favorite of Jacob’s 12 sons. However, not such a favorite of his 11 brothers! He is sold to be a slave, but because of his ability to interpret dreams, he becomes the right hand man of Pharaoh and saves Egypt from famine.
It is a lighthearted musical with a beautiful story. There are leading roles for men and women and a children’s choir will be featured.
