Pulaski County Public Library to Participate in Choose Privacy Week

The staff at the Pulaski County Public Library will be participating in the fourth annual celebration of Choose Privacy Week May 1–7.

Someone is always tracking you. Whether it’s on social media, phone calls or the websites you visit, your daily activities are monitored, recorded, collected and stored. Who is collecting this information?

Choose Privacy Week invites library patrons into a national conversation about privacy rights in a digital age. The campaign gives libraries the tools they need to educate and engage you and gives you the resources to think critically and make more informed choices about your privacy.

The library staff will be providing participants with a “privacy toolkit” complete with information regarding digital privacy and a statement of library patron privacy. They will be handed out May 1–7. If you pick up a toolkit, you will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to the Melody Drive-In.
