The Eastern Pulaski School Board will be meeting in another work session tonight to further discuss criteria to be used in the Superintendent selection process.

The board had met April 23 to put some initial thoughts on paper and Superintendent Dr. Robert Klitzman will present those ideas again tonight to refresh discussion and initialize more input from the board on what they expect of his successor.

The board hopes to finalize the list of qualifications in this work session in order to begin the hiring process. The board will be looking at state guidelines when compiling the list as well as specific corporation needs.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. ET and will be held in the Distance Learning Lab.

Klitzman’s retirement request was approved earlier this year after the board failed to unanimously approve the superintendent’s one-year contract. Klitzman as served at the corporation’s superintendent for the past 26 years and will be leaving when his contract expires on June 30.
