Miss Sandy’s 35th Dance Production Takes Stage This Weekend

Miss Sandy’s Studio of Dance annual production is this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. CT at the Knox High School Auditorium.

This is the 35th annual production and Miss Sandy explained that the theme this year is “Don’t Stop Believing.”

“It’s about people from different backgrounds, their challenges, hopes and dreams,” explained Miss Sandy. “We use the studio motto ‘Keep dancing you can do it, you can get through it. Dance though life.'”

Dancers range from age three to adult and they come from Starke, Pulaski and Marshall Counties. Miss Sandy says there is something for everyone.

“We have upbeat contemporary dances of today. We have the little tiny tots, they’re just beginning, and students that have been progressing. We have musical theatre numbers that share a message to stand up and believe in yourself and beautiful lyrical ballet numbers and tap numbers. We also have ethnic dances, which are like Hawaiian, Tahitian and Middle East, and we have very strong and moving liturgical Christian number,” said Miss Sandy.

Ticket price is $6 for adults and a free lap ticket will be given for those who have two-year-old children or younger.
