Plymouth Man Sentenced to 12 Years on Meth Charge

A 30-year-old Plymouth man was sentenced to a dozen years in the Department of Corrections in a sentencing hearing in Marshall County Superior Court 1 Thursday.

Arthur David Lawrence, Jr. pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state to a charge of Conspiracy to Deal in Methamphetamine. No part of the 12-year sentence was suspended.

Lawrence admitted in open court that he agreed to sell methamphetamine and had Robert Bowen II deliver the drug to an undercover officer and a confidential informant.

During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at a home on Broadway Street in Argos where officers found 84 discarded one-pot meth labs along with methamphetamine product and precursors.

In an interview with detectives, Bowen admitted he had participated in the manufacturing of methamphetamine over 100 times and that Lawerence frequented his residence and did manufacture methamphetamine at that location. Bowen was previously sentenced to a term of 15 years in the Department of Corrections with no time suspended.
