Two Knox Residents Arrested on Narcotics Charges

 
 

Two people were arrested Tuesday after the execution of a search warrant in the 300 block of Fisher Street in Knox.

Officers from the Knox City Police Department arrived at the residence and presented the search warrant. During the search, officers reportedly found several types of narcotics including heroin. A five year old child was also in the home at the time the narcotics were located and collected.

Levi Lakes, 28, and 22-year-old Samantha Mullins were arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. All charges are Class D felonies. Lakes faces an additional preliminary charge of Dealing a Narcotic Drug as a Class B felony.

Both Lakes and Mullins were booked into the Starke County Jail. The child was placed in the custody of the Indiana Department of Child Services.
