The Whitley Products plant in Plymouth has a new owner.
Marshall County Economic Development Commission Executive Director Jay Bahr told WKVI that Whitley has closed on a deal with Aggressive Manufacturing Innovations and more information on that deal will be released yet this week.
Bahr indicated that the number of employees expected to be hired is not known at this time. Production will likely be slow to begin with.
AMI is based in Lewiston, Mich. and manufactures parts for the automotive industry. Bahr explained that AMI will be announcing what will be produced at the Plymouth site yet this week. Employees at the Whitley plant produced parts for tractors, diesel trucks and larger vehicles.
