Moving Starke County Forward Reaches China

The participants in the Moving Starke County Forward program have officially walked from the Statue of Liberty, past Hawaii, all the way to Beijing, China. That makes 10,677 miles logged by those involved.

The goal is to go all the way around the world by Sept. 2. Make sure you log your steps every week by calling (574) 772-1272.

Knox Mayor Rick Chambers is hosting a walk and everyone is invited to participate. The walk will be held on Monday, July 29 at Wythogan Park in Knox at 6 p.m. CT.

If you would like to participate in the Moving Starke County Forward program, it’s not too late. You may fill out a form at any Starke County Library branch and log your steps and help get Starke County around the world! For more information, contact Heather Skelly at IU Health Starke Hospital at (574) 772-1272.
