School corporations in the state are gearing up for the start of school this week and most administrators are preparing budgets for the next calendar year.
Knox Community School Superintendent A.J. Gappa said the school board has reviewed the prepared budgets.
“This is just the first step in the 2014 budget. We anticipate advertising in August, have a public hearing in September and adopting the budget in October,” Gappa explained.
The West Central School Board also recently passed a resolution to advertise the school’s budget. Other corporations are also following suit.
