Enjoy the Fall Colors During a HVRM Train Ride

The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson is offering several special excursions in the month of October.

Not only will you enjoy a train ride to the English Lake area on the Pumpkin Train on Oct. 5 and Oct. 19, you will have the chance to choose and purchase a pumpkin for only $1.50 in the HVRM pumpkin patch.

The Fall Harvest Train on Oct. 12 will leave at 1:30 p.m. and travel 20 miles across the Kankakee River through the wooded areas to LaCrosse and back to the depot. You may ride in a vintage caboose, an open-air coach or in a coach.

The Halloween Train will feature a three-hour trip to LaCrosse and includes a not-so-scary animal show. The train will return to the museum after sunset so you’ll want to dress warmly. Dress is costume or come as you are. The Halloween Train leaves at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The volunteers at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum are accepting reservations for the Santa Trains on Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.
