A man and women whose car ran out of gas on Linden Road just north of U.S. 6 in Marshall County Wednesday afternoon are jailed without bond after police reportedly found evidence of meth manufacture in their vehicle. An officer responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle spoke to the driver, Billy Ottinger, and his passenger, Kay Fisher. They gave him permission to search the vehicle, according to the arrest report, and the officer found several precursors used to make meth. The Indiana State Police were called in to assist, and both Ottinger and Fisher were arrested for possession of precursors and dealing/manufacturing methamphetamine.
