Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Toni Hutchings was recognized for her outstanding achievements in fiscal management, financial recording and public service leadership during a state conference in Indianapolis. Hutchings received the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns’ Financial Management Award. She’s served as clerk-treasurer for the city of Plymouth for 18 years and has worked to modernize the office and make it run more efficiently while saving the city money. Hutchings has also obtained the credentials of Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk, Certified Municipal Clerk and Certified Public Finance Administrator. She also volunteers with several organizations, including the United Way.

Her work has been honored by the Associated Press, StateNets News Association, Curb Foundation, Hoosier State Press Association and IBA. When she’s not sitting in the anchor chair or chasing down news, Mary enjoys shopping for antiques, attending concerts and taking long walks and rides in her vintage Saab convertible, weather permitting. She’s also a hopelessly devoted Chicago Cubs fanatic who still cringes at the mention of Steve Garvey and Josh Beckett and maintains it wasn’t Steve Bartman’s fault.
