Marshall County Commissioners Approve Inspections for AED Equipment

The Marshall County Commissioners approved a tech service agreement for maintenance on life-saving equipment.

Inside the Marshall County building are three Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and they need to be serviced. The devices need to be inspected every so often to make sure they are working properly.

The cost is $630 for an inspection for the AED equipment. The commissioners unanimously approved the service agreement with Physio Control to conduct those inspections.

An Automated External Defibrillator is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses cardiac arrhythmias and is able to treat a person through defibrillation. Defibrillation is the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.
