Three Wanted Criminals Arrested in LaPorte County

 
 
Officers with the LaPorte County Metro Operations Unit arrested three people Friday on outstanding criminal warrants.

Officers served an arrest warrant to a suspect in the LaPorte County Jail. Shalovis Robinson, 22, was being held in the jail for violating probation at the time she was served the warrant. She is now being charged with three counts of Dealing a Schedule I Controlled Substance (heroin), a Class B felony.

Two other residents were taken into custody when officers arrived in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue to serve outstanding warrants issued by LaPorte Circuit Court. Angel Duarte, 23, and Gloria Martinez, 22, were taken into custody without incident.

Duarte was wanted on a charge of Possession of Marijuana as a Class D felony and Martinez was wanted on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Taking a Minor or Endangered Adult to a Common Nuisance both Class A misdemeanors. Both were released after posting a $6,500 bond.
