Marshall County Commissioners to Create Transportation Committee

The Marshall County Commissioners this week discussed the idea of establishing a transportation committee to help with the U.S. 31 project. Plan Director Ralph Booker approached the commissioners at their meeting and expressed interest in putting together the committee to help with finishing the project and said it is a high priority.

He said if the county is going to do planning, they should be prepared, and he presented recommendations for the committee based on the list generated by Fulton County and their transportation committee.

Commissioner Jack Roose said it’s important to plan on this and agreed on the idea of setting up a committee. Commissioners Deb Griewank and Kevin Overmyer also agreed, and decided it was something they would discuss early 2014.
