Marshall County Economic Development Corporation Seeks Executive Director

  
 
The Marshall County Economic Development Corporation is looking for a new executive director. Jay Bahr, who took over leadership of the corporation in mid-April is leaving. Board Chair Bill Davis says in a news release, “Mr. Bahr has been effectively leading our organization since April of this year. We want to wish Jay a successful career transition.”

The corporation is already searching for Bahr’s replacement. An ad posted on http://www.marshallcountyedc.org/ states the successful candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a self-motivator with strong professional, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience working with local, state and federal government officials and programs; hold a bachelor’s degree in economics, businesses administration, political science or another related field; and have practical experience with overall basic knowledge of business needs and practices.

Bahr’s resume includes stints as the Workforce Director for Northwest Ohio at the Ohio Department of Development and the Economic Development Director for the city of Hillsdale. Until his replacement is hired, Davis says, “We have a very skilled team at MCEDC that will continue the work that the corporation has been doing for the past five years.”
