The Pulaski County Maintenance Department has been staying busy, according to Maintenance Director Jeff Johnston. He told the county commissioners at their regular meeting that the office relocation has been completed, annex repair work is done, and they’ve also repaired some equipment at the county highway garage.

Johnston said the relocation is done and the assessor is adjusting to her new location in his old office, while he is now located in the boiler room. He also said the annex repair work has been completed, but he uncovered more issues with downspouts that he said will soon need addressed.

Also, Johnston explained that a facility review will take place on Jan. 14, and he requested a definitive direction on what the county would like to do with the old Fletcher building. The commissioners asked him to look at the cost of replacing the lights and overhead doors and return at a future meeting with a full report.
