Knox Mayor Rick Chambers is looking for volunteers to help with several committees.

Volunteers are needed to help with the Knox Harvest Festival and the Knox Fireworks Committees. The city is looking to bring back the Harvest Festival after a one-year hiatus and needs dedicated people to help make the festival as successful as it has been the past several years.

As it has for several years, the city has been responsible for providing a spectacular fireworks show and committee members are needed to help organize fundraisers for the event and to help ensure the fireworks show goes smoothly.

In addition, Mayor Chambers is seeking volunteers to serve on the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center Committee. This committee plans community events such as the big band dances, the prayer breakfast, the unsung heroes award, plus many more.

If you are interested on serving on any of these committees or need more information, call the mayor’s office (574) 772-4553.
