Roadways will likely be wet in spots as snow continues to melt and rain starts to fall. Motorists are urged to be vigilant, at night or early in the morning, as it can be difficult to see water and its depth across the roadway. Driving through any sort of water creates less tire contact with the road surface and can cause your vehicle to hydroplane, which in turn increases your likelihood of crashing. It also affects your brakes. They are less effective until they dry out.
