Dalton Cody Richie, 20, was arrested in the overnight hours Sunday after officers received a call that he had reportedly stolen an item and fled into the nearby woods on 1400 W in Medaryville. Officers arrived at the scene and followed his footprints in the snow and found Richie hiding in some brush. Richie was accused of stealing his grandmother’s PS3 gaming system and she produced a receipt from a local pawn shop. Family members allege he used the money for the purchase of heroin. Police allegedly found several items used in the consumption of heroin in Richie’s bedroom and vehicle. He was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe or Needle and Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Later that day during a routine booking of new inmate on a warrant into the Pulaski County Jail, correctional officers reportedly found methamphetamine and other items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine in the possession of 29-year-old Robert J. Neely. The Wheatfield resident faces additional preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Two people were arrested late Sunday night after officers spotted a known stolen vehicle from the Medaryville area. The Pulaski County sheriff’s deputy followed the vehicle and the officer noticed that the vehicle made evasive movements around local businesses. The vehicle eventually turned into the McDonald’s parking lot where the officer confronted the two people in the car. The officer found the vehicle had expired plates and made arrangements to impound the car. In a search of the vehicle, numerous items were allegedly found that were used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Suppression Team was called to process the vehicle. Nicole Kidd, 33, and Frank James Wireman, 27, were arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Precursors with the Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
Justin A. Haluck, 30 and Nicholas Robert Kasten, 26, both of Winamac were arrested Monday, Feb. 3 after a traffic stop. After a consent to search was granted, officers reportedly found drug paraphernalia on Kasten and in his belongings. Drug items were also found inside the car. Both Kasten and Haluck have been preliminarily charged with Possession of Hypodermic Needles and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Winamac resident, 25-year-old Drew J. Allen was arrested Tuesday after an anonymous call was received about a meth lab on the premises of a vacated building in the Winamac Industrial Park. The investigation led Pulaski County officers to Allen who was arrested on preliminary charges of Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors with the Intent to Manufacture and Possession of Paraphernalia.
