Chuck Richardson told WKVI that he presented a list of names on a petition to start a dog park at the Knox Park Board meeting last week, but the board members reportedly told him that they would like to see people at their next meeting in favor of the incident.
Richardson proposed that the fenced-in dog park be located in Wythogan Park in Knox. If that location isn’t feasible, then another location could be sought.
Several rules and regulations of the dog park would apply and can be seen by clicking on this link: Dog Park Proposed Rules and Regulations
Richardson said the dog park would give owners to take their dog to a place to get some exercise and to be out of the house.
If you’re interested in the creation of a dog park, you can go to the meeting on April 19 at the library in Knox. Everyone who attends would also be encouraged to attend the next meeting of the Knox Park Board on April 24 at 6 p.m. at the Girl Scout Cabin in Knox to voice their support of the dog park.
