Winter Storm Expected Tonight

Just when we thought we might have turned the corner into spring, winter comes back in a big way.

The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Winter Storm Watch which is in effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

Snow is expected to develop around midnight Tuesday and continue into Wednesday morning. The snow is forecast to taper off by late Wednesday morning or early Wednesday afternoon.

There could be heavy snow with accumulations in excess of an inch per hour.

Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery said snow accumulations could total four to eight inches. In addition, wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph may cause blowing and drifting issues and make for hazardous travel conditions on Wednesday.
