A LaPorte man turned himself into the custody of the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Brandon Pointon, 21, was wanted on a charge of dealing a schedule III controlled substance (suboxone) which is a Class A felony.
The warrant was issued after a criminal investigation was conducted by the LaPorte County Metro Operations Unit. Pointon is currently being held in the LaPorte County Jail with no bond.
This arrest is the result of ongoing investigations involving the distribution of narcotics and illegal drugs in and around the LaPorte area. Additional arrests are anticipated.
