Roberts Sentenced to Ten Years

  A man will spend ten years in the Indiana Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to charges presented in Starke Circuit Court.

Kenneth Roberts pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the State to charges of battery and domestic battery. He also admitted to a probation violation. 

Magistrate Jeanene Calabrese accepted the plea agreement which called for a sentence of four years in the DOC on the probation violation with no part of the sentence suspended. Roberts was also sentenced to six years in the DOC on the Class C felony charge of battery and 12 months in the Starke County Jail on the misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. The two battery charges will be served concurrently to each other and consecutively to the probation violation for a total of ten years.

He is to have no contact with the victim in this case.
