west central logoThe West Central School Corporation is ready to welcome students back to school tomorrow.

Superintendent Don Street said several projects are finishing up before the school year starts.

“NIPSCO removed some lines out to our building that was a result of our football field electrical project. The whole campus as well as the central office has a new telephone system and it’s in place and working. We’ve replacing two large fans in our auxiliary gym and elementary. They are in the gym to reduce heating costs and to cool the facilities a little bit. We developed a water leak in the original water line from the well to the elementary. We replaced that. Our wind turbine is up and producing after some maintenance repairs,” said Street.

Many school corporations are opening doors to students tomorrow. Make sure you are cautious around school buses and watch for students walking or biking to and from school.
