North Judson Town Council Moves Forward with New Office Building

The North Judson Town offices will soon be in a new location. The town council has finalized paperwork on the former First Farmers Bank and Trust building on Lane Street that was donated to the town back in August. The plan is to be moved in to the new town hall by the end of the year. It will house the water department and clerk treasurer’s offices and serve as meeting space for the town council. It will provide more space for the employees and for meeting purposes.A presentation by the Foundation for Fair Contracting organization was given. Representative Garland Rose was seeking suggestions for updating the Responsible and Responsive Bidder Ordinance. The council took suggestions and is considering the ordinance.

The council also received four quotes for a sink hole on Sheridan Street. Town Superintendent Marshall Horstmann presented the quotes and the council approved JD Excavating’s quote of $14,984. Horstmann also had quotes for the pickup truck and snow plow discussed during the previous meeting.
