Ed Hasnerl Salutes Long-Time Listener

A long-time resident of the Golden Living Center in Knox was joined by many of his friends at a “going-away” party yesterday.

The throaty voice that reverberates across the gathering area of the Golden Living Center each time I walk in the front door, won’t be greeting me there after Monday.

61-year-old Tim Crum, who, every day, stakes out the southwest corner of that room for his own, is moving to Branson, Missouri.  Tim has made this care facility his home for the past 37 years. He’s moving closer family members.

He is a fanatic listener to WKVI and feels he has a personal relationship with every one of us here at K99.3 He proudly displayed his new Bosch radio to us when Shepherd Bill Talbot and I visited with him Thursday afternoon. It was tuned to WKVI.

Tim often joins me in a duet when Marilyn McCarty and Sally Povilaitis come to entertain the residents. I’ll miss Tim’s amiable personality and pleasant greetings. I wonder if he’ll soon be singing with “The 3 Redneck Tenors” there in Branson, anytime soon.
