She will give a free performance at Hamlet United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. CDT to kick off the new Women Anchored in Hope ministry. Founder and President Kathleen Davidson says addiction is complex and can go deep. Members of the group are all living in long-term recovery and want to offer hope and help others.

“We all have personal stories, personal experiences as what worked good for us. We also want to give God the glory as we move forward,” she said.

Starting Wednesday, Oct. 29 Women Anchored in Hope will conduct “open door” weekly meetings at 4 p.m. CT at Hamlet United Methodist Church. The group’s name is a reference to Hebrews 6:19, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”
