The city of Knox was shining bright with Christmas spirit Wednesday night as judges deciphered which decorations would be deemed most magnificent. The decoration committee had many honorable mentions, but three houses stood out more than the rest and their owners walked away with cash prizes.
The third place prize of $25 went to resident Dallas Lovejoy at 409 South Bower Street. Second place winners Tom Jr. and Cindy Parkison at 427 Carlson Drive won $50. Down the road at 423 Carlson Drive lives Gene Wheeler, the first place winner of $100! Citizens who received honorable mentions for their admirable efforts were Chris and Lisa Whiles, Robert Brandt, Vonda Butler, Larry and Mary Weyer, Greg and LuAnn Matt and Chase Barkley.
