Probation Check Results in Meth Bust

Meth BustA Knox man and a Warsaw woman face charges after police in Starke County reportedly found an inactive meth lab, drugs and paraphernalia at their home, which is located next door to a preschool.

Detectives from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Knox City Police and K-9 Terror assisted the probation department in the Friday search of a home in the 100 block of north East Street, which is next to Marshall Starke Headstart. The officers found an inactive one-pot meth lab, HCL generator, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release. Ryan Martin, 40, of Knox faces possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia charges as well as maintaining a common nuisance. Gracie Bell, 35, of Warsaw, is charged with visiting a common nuisance.
