Six applications for Hamlet’s 50-50 sidewalk program were reviewed last night. One contractor applied to do the cement work. The board took all applications under advisement.
Remodeling plans for the former fire department facilities, adjacent to the Town Hall, were discussed as was the town’s partnership with the new Hamlet-Davis Fire Department building project next to the County Fairgrounds.
The Town Marshall submitted his department’s reports for February and March and explained the department’s use of body cameras. The Board signed the Hamlet Police Department’s “standard operating procedure.”
When the town board convened as a zoning board, it tabled a request for a variance in the fencing ordinance to allow building a yard fence closer to the street than is currently allowed.
